Also that Ukraine has to mobilise basically the entire nation and keep it on a war footing just to survive whereas the conflict in Korea has not required that extent of national mobilisation to maintain the status quo.

When I gave up maths as a 16 year old in high school, the thought I would spend a semester teaching Yale undergrads set theory, transfinite numbers, and basic calculus, topology, measure theory, probability and decision theory would’ve appalled and petrified me and here I am, appalled and petrified.
