An ICU nurse at the VA, an outdoorsman, a deeply generous, compassionate friend and family member, and a true son of Minnesota. Rest in peace, Alex.

I didn't know Alex, but I remember the nurses in residency who had my back, even when I didn't know anything and they could have just been rude to me for being in the way.
