Disney Dreamlight Valley free update for April 23, 2025. The update is for “Wonderland Whimsy” which introducers the Wonderland realm from Walt Disney’s Alice in Wonderland (1951), and the characters Alice and the Cheshire cat. The Cat stands on a stump as Alice curtsies to his left, and a generic character representing the Player holds up a tea cup. They all smile to the camera.

A generic character is in a dress in the style of the Queen of Hearts. She is beside ours, who intern is looking at another generic character who’s dressed up as the Mad Hatter. Minnie mouse is to the ride and she’s in a similarly stylish and new get up. These exuberant costumes are rewards for this Wonderland Whimsy event “Star Path,” I assume, which is a limited time event for one to earn rewards for doing activities and duties.

Alice, with those player characters seen from the previous shot, are in photo-taking mode. Photos can be moderately adjusted or tweaked, it seems.

The only new generic character representing a player in this shot is an older, bearded man in a pink and purple suit top and black pants. Otherwise, all of the characters, including Alice and the Cheshire cat, are standing in front of a magical portal leading into Dreamlight Valley, which is barely translucent beyond the portal. The characters are currently in the Wonderland realm, as evidenced by the oversized tea set and unnaturally colored trees that surround them. No doubt this will be the loading screen for the duration of the Wonderland Whimsy event.

It’s about time!! I’ve waited for Wonderland characters since before Dreamlight Valley even launched!

From the Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream trailer proper, which ends with the dream sequence of a Mii who encounters a neighbor Mii as a giant. "Did you want to talk?"

My hasty, not-so-refined mashup of Tomodachi Life and Walt Disney's Alice in Wonderland (1951). In the original scene from the movie, Alice has grown in the courtroom of the Queen of Hearts and is briefly telling off said Queen. Here, she's just looking at the Mii and... well, yeah. I just wanted to do this. Can you blame a guy for being bored while he waits for the Nintendo Switch 2 Direct?
