There were just a few moments when you could tell she wasnβt there, the quiet moments she and (now former) Script Writers previously allowed characters informed most. I found that moment when Cromwell was allowed to be seen crying somewhat awkward, but perhaps that is historical fiction for you?

This may be controversial, but I like the new Jaguar logo and the new advert. Grace, Pace and Space needs to be updated to reflect the modern (electric car) world but that does not mean it has been lost with the new logo!

Todayβs been a good day - Queenβs University Belfast has an awful lot to teach other universities in the U.K. about how to engage Alumni with current students (from BA to PGT and PGR).
I owe QUB a huge debt of gratitude! #StudentMentoringProgramme

As soon as @Keir_Starmer stopped speaking, I had a call. βYouβre my Labour councillor. I wanted you to know that Iβve just joined Labour. His message about care workers deserving as much respect as the Prime Minister really struck home.β Welcome to @WitneyLabourCLP John. πΉβ€οΈ

Must be said, lay nightβs view was a little βdifferentβ - NHS at its best from Wednesdayβs GP appointment to yesterdayβs referral and then to todayβs Virtual Consult. Despite 14yrs of Tory failure we really do have the best Healthcare System in the world!

Give citizen journalism a boost
Weβre all tired of much of the mainstream media and how they report politics. Fortunately, the Bylines Network is quickly filling the gap with citizen journalism β actually empowering the public voice...
An ask...
At Bylines Network, we've built up over 4.5 years. We now have 10 publications that regularly get top Google Search news spots -all for citizen journalism.
It's absolutely unique in the world and I'm so proud of it. Please chip in to keep us powered up. π

Can the next archbishop of Canterbury unite a divided Church?
A rather intriguing piece of analysis from Pippa Bailey about the race to become the next #ArchbishopofCanterbury - Guli Francis-Dehqani would be my choice, fingers crossed the CNC agree! www.newstatesman.com/politics/rel...

It will take a little time for Labour's approach to housing to bear fruit, but it is a genuine change. I was pleased to see the New Homes Accelerator Programme for getting to grips with the reasons for stalled sites.

Our 2024 Election Polling: Lessons Learned
An exploration of what we think our polls got right, and what we missed, two months after the General Election.
Very useful and interesting blog with lessons for political parties about last minute decisions and young voters turning out in higher numbers than expected (I see a correlation there in Bristol).

Alt: animated gif: wallace from wallace and gromit being very excited about cheese.
Okay I think you are ready for this BlueSky. Let's talk cheese history.
More specifically, Yorkshire Dales cheeses, and how WW2 and rationing almost wiped out cheesemaking in northern Britain.
This is the story of the near-death of the world of one of the world's great cheeses: Wensleydale. /1 π§΅
