"I don't want a Disney vacation of our history! I don't a whitewashed history, I don't want a homogenized history. Tell me the wretched truth about America, because that speaks to our greatness" -- 20 hours into his speech, Cory Booker is spitting absolute 🔥
This looks like it's gonna be good.

I’ve always wanted to go there. ❤️
Just ordered this! Looking forward to reading it.
If the Democrats don’t make an absolute buffet out of this group chat national security scandal, primary each and every one of them. It’s literally on a silver platter.
Thanks Catherine! 😘
If you care about preserving online resources being scrubbed from federal gov't websites, support the work of the Internet Archive. I've used it for teaching, research, and writing. I donated & hope you will, too.

First big painting I've made in months. The plastic always ends up relating more than I imagine it will.
Fishing. Mixed media on cardboard packaging.
I wanna see Tilda Swinton on SNL with Mike Myers next week doing a mother/son sketch. 😳 (remember her role in Snowpiercer?)
This whole family seems pretty nuts. (The comments on this post are hilarious.)
New collage
If you are around Hudson, NY this weekend, go see Ana’s work! ❤️💥
Sewing pink tubes. Tedious, fussy and time consuming but also somehow satisfying. I hand sew and join together smaller segments that have been sewn inside out on the machine and turned right side out around rope that gives it tension and mass. The goal is to make a knot. 🪢 binding and tangling
Here's what the idiots in the White House utterly fail to comprehend. They and the US came out of that argument weaker. Zelensky came out stronger, with Europe rallying behind Ukraine more than before. They came out looking like petulant idiots; he came out looking like a leader with integrity.
This week's episode was so devastating! And so good! I loved listening to the podcast and learning more from the director and the actor that plays Gemma. Are you watching?
The People's Union USA, a grassroots group, is calling on Americans to join a national boycott by not shopping for 24 hours on Friday.

I’ve been leaving out a mini library from my collection for my Queer Archives/Queer Ephemera class. Here are some fun selections I’ve been adding.
A poster for the economic blackout on February 28. It is a big red Jack rabbit on an aqua blue back ground. It says economic blackout in hand done black type. There are two black speech bubbles. One says “don’t buy stuff Friday February 28th. The other says we have power. Below it says No Amazon, Walmart, target, gas food, gas. Below that it says OK small business, use cash. Designed by Martha Rich.
I made this the other night while procrastinating, mainly because I thought all the posts about the blackout were boring. It feels like there is momentum bringing people together!
Great tip! I’ll look into that!
Yep. Afraid so. I think I will still have access to the books I have already purchased, but I’ll just stop paying for access to the free catalog and credits for new books.
Cancelled Amazon Prime and Audible today. Switching to Better World Books and Libby through my local library. This will be a long term commitment, not just for tomorrow. ❤️
Studio time. Sewing pink tubes. Collecting used clothing. Grateful for community and other artists in my life.
Oof! Hope you feel better soon Steve. ❤️
Stonewall was a violent, multiracial, anti-police riot. Trans people, especially trans women of color, stood at the front. Your love for power kills. Your love for country kills. You cannot erase our history. Happy Valentine's Day.
Jacinta Bunnell adapted this text from a poem by Nancy R. Smith.
Text: Lovers, 1988. Don't be afraid of the clocks, they are our time, the time has been so generous to us. We imprinted time with the sweet taste of victory. We conquered fate by meeting at a certain time in a certain space. We are a product of the time, therefore we give back credit were it is due: time. We are synchronized, now forever. I love you.
For Valentine's Day, this heartfelt & adoring letter from artist Felix Gonzalez-Torres to his lover Ross Laycock, building on Gonzalez-Torres's artwork Untitled (Perfect Lovers): "We are synchronized, now and forever. I love you."
