Eine Grafik, die den Frauenanteil in wissenschaftlichen Führungspositionen über die Zeit von 1997 bis 2022 zeigt. Max-Planck und Leibniz haben dabei 2022 immerhin knapp 30% erreicht, die Helmholtz-Gemeinschaft liegt mit etwas über 23% im Durchschnitt und Fraunhofer ist weit angeschlagen mit 8.3%
Heute ist #InternationalerFrauentag #IWD💐.
Zeit, darauf aufmerksam zu machen, dass zB. im deutschen Wissenschaftssystem Frauen (insbesondere in Führungspositionen) immer noch unterrepräsentiert sind. Spannend ist dabei auch der Blick auf die bundesfinanzierten großen Forschungseinrichtungen. 🧵

Human impacts on large mammals went well beyond triggering late Quaternary mass extinctions. A new paper by Brook et al. showing that biogeographic patterns were erased by the spread of domesticated species:
