The pre-emption and targetted assassination arguments might appear spectacular, but they were the workaday archiecture of the war on terror.

Perhaps the illegality of the US attack is not our biggest problem
European states/govs are not failing to condemn US actions in Venezuela because they love Trump, or are US 'vassals' or colonies.
They are imperialist powers in an imperialist system! Whilst they DO align with the US, it's not like defending peripheral sovereignty is their imperative otherwise.
I wonder whether how similar our intellectual production and political interventions are is down to the fact that we share a set of theoretical premises. Or is it something else, one’s gotta wonder

there are provisions on joint critical raw materials exploration in the Arctic and other US-Russia economic projects, projects that bulldose over environmental considerations and indigenous survival (specifically in the Arctic). this is the cause of wariness way beyond the future of Ukraine
and something that I feel is flying under the radar is just how much it is the agenda for the imperial realignment where Trump is establishing structures for competition with China in the post-oil era, with Putin’s help: among clauses on forced neutrality and territorial concessions…
First the US forces Arab leaders to force Hamas into a ceasefire - a ceasefire where Israel got hostages back and continues to bomb Gaza daily, and now a peace deal hashed out by imperial powers. The peace deal by Thanksgiving, the ceasefire by Nobel peace prize: the man is fairly predictable.
something I can’t help but think about in relation to Trump’s atrocious peace plan for Ukraine is that yet again he tries out certain moves in Gaza and then, if unhindered, repeats them re Ukraine. Red carpets rolled for Netanyahu first and then for Putin.
