I've been required to call Meritain at least once per claim, I'm not even kidding.
At one point I had to submit the exact same paperwork via snail mail, email, and fax—and then finally submit it to a second email address before they "saw" it.
lol got a response from subrogation: "We've approved the claim. Please call our customer service department to ask them to release payment."

Well, dealing with insurance for the 800th time about the same claim might have derailed my morning, but at least the upstairs bathrooms are now both clean and I'm feeling less unhinged.
I'll try that next time I call. This time I just broke down crying on the dude's voicemail. Not a tactic, just frustration 😂🫠
That's absolutely what they're trying to do.
But also they've been telling me for months that they made a mistake and will now approve the claim. They even told me over a month ago that they paid the bill. And they still have not.
I haven't had Meritain Aetna insurance since February. So whyyyy am I still on the phone explaining that getting shot in a drive-by is NOT a workplace injury?
So ready to be done with their BS and move on.
