Multiple Americans have died this year due to gun violence. Some of it at the hands of our own government. Our government does a crappy job of protecting us here, but sure, let's kill little girls in Iran to make us "safe".

I, on the other hand, know at least two people who hold multiple jobs, have a SNAP card, and need to figure out how to pay rent, child care, and school clothes to keep their family afloat. The average affluent person would be dead in a month if they had to figure that all out.

You really don't need to ask most of the time. They tell you with the attire and their topics of discussion - and how they talk about the country they're visiting. That said, we've had that conversation more than once on our travels.

Thank you for saying it out loud. It is insane that its not been reported. We keep on saying "6 Americans dead", and as a vet I appreciate it being recognized. But we killed over 100 children in a single attack. How, in the age of smart weaponry does a girl's school get destroyed?
