Returning home I rode on clear dry streets as bike lanes on Davenport & Annette were an icy snirty mess. No photos as it was -14C #bikeTO #WinterTO

Imagine if we had designed children’s playgrounds in ways that were unnecessarily dangerous for kids, but instead of fixing the unsafe design (we know how!), we mandated that kids wear protective gear like helmets.
That’s basically what adult bike #helmetlaws are.
Design safe infrastructure.

Never forget that when Seoul, Korea removed the Cheonggyecheon expressway in 2003 and replaced it with a restored stream, 1000 acre park and improved public transit, not only did it transform the city’s public life and economic success, but the car traffic got better.

Indeed. When they rounded up the Japanese Americans, myself and my family included, for internment during WWII out of fear over Japanese spies and saboteurs, two thirds of us were U.S. citizens.
Don’t think it won’t happen again when they come for the “undocumented.”
