Btw the furry fandom is not accepting if you have a cluster B or cluster C personality disorder. The acceptance ends once you are no longer just "quirky" and are actually different to a level that requires effort or care to be your friend

This is exactly how I feel all the time

So, if Trump is opening the doors on political targeting by the Justice department, 2029 we are arresting every single Republican involved in this administration. Trump and every last one.
Oh my god... I feel so called out LOL

Hey all! If you have some to spare, my friend could use some help. Thank you if you do, thank you anyway for just reading
When platforms derank abortion content, theyβre not just hurting an individual creatorβs engagement. It cuts off access to vital health information for users everywhere. Shadowbanning isnβt neutral moderation. Itβs censorship, and it has consequences. www.eff.org/pages/algor...
Maybe, but that's why you contact a lawyer. They'll walk you through it
I really need to say that there is a lot of misinformation being targeted toward left people right now. Like a lot. I keep scrolling past new instances of it. Please fact-check everything you see especially if it makes you feel angry or anything like that.
Sometimes I wonder if the person who groomed me is still stalking me. In case they are, at least I can inform them that they're irrefutably a bitch.
Not to even mention that debate is the improper tool for this anyway; a dialectic would be far more effective.
The 20 you lose in the one mission for the footage you use to recruit another 100 million to their deaths is probably worth it tbh!
If only we can apply the same existential fervor that we have toward developing better means and tactics for war into fixing climate change. When it comes to war, humanity creates immense innovation in a few years. We need to brand climate change as a climate war and "go to war" and fix it.
Why is this post marked as "rude" by bluesky moderation π
Is there something I'm missing? Probably
also I would reply but replies were limited so quote repost it is
I miss a lot of my old friends. And a lot of how life used to be I guess. Things are so uncertain lately, both in my life and in society. But I know there's something to learn from this. Something to carry forward. Something that will eventually make me happier.
But... I miss my old friends.
This sucks but I'm thinking of taking a pause from university.
I mean yeah. There were neo Nazis outside of my building for weeks after I got doxed, my family got swatted, the pizzagate guy hired someone to go through my trash, and a couple people who had sent me death threats got caught killing someone else. And thatβs a tiny slice of the last 10 years.
I remember why I quit social media for a long while. I wish I could address, in a logical well-thought-out manner, why I disagree with a lot of stuff I see here, but there are two issues:
1) The other person often doesn't want a good faith discussion to begin with
2) I don't have the time
I'm actually going to be testing how well Fedora will be working for some of my family who have some non-upgradable Win10 devices since their needs should be covered by Linux. Mint and Ubuntu both have had issues I've had to repeatedly fix in the past, hopefully Fedora doesn't!
In Opinion | In the aftermath of Charlie Kirkβs killing, our columnist Thomas L. Friedman writes that instead of focusing on talks between Ukraine and Russia or the Israelis and Palestinians, Trump should βmake peace at home. Make peace between Americans.β
SCOTUS should toss the Fourth Circuitβs made-up βmaterial contributionβ test that stretches contributory liability and pressures ISPs to cut off whole households from the internet on mere accusations of copyright infringement. www.eff.org/deeplinks/2...
If how we're reacting to this situation is to create verbal conflict, and yes I am talking to regular people and people with platforms alike, then we are sowing the seeds for further violence.
Look at your goals. Are your goals peace, or war? Use those goals to guide your words and actions.
4/4
If our goals are to end the political violence, we have to look at how our words and actions now are going to lead there. The only blame that should be had is on the people involved, and all the vengeance and violence needs to end now. And the harmful rhetoric too.
3/4
With recent events, and the conflict and blame that is brewing between everyone, we should look at our goals here.
If our goals are vengeance, that will lead to further violence in return. It will lead to conflict, potentially civil war.
2/4
So, something I've learned when dealing with interpersonal conflict when trying to actually defuse and avoid said conflict is to come into the situation with goals in mind and every action and word I say is to accomplish said goals.

Federal agencies are sharing data even when theyβre not supposed to, EFFβs @cooperq.com told @kqednews.kqed.org. βEven if you personally are not concerned about ICEβ¦ it should be concerning to anybody. This is going to be used to further dragnet surveillance.β www.kqed.org/news/120556...
"We have a system now where the politicians get to pick their voters, and the voters do not get to pick their elected representatives. And we believe that there is a large public support for changing that," says Former Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson. https://to.pbs.org/41NsHGd
"[The FBI] were under intense pressure to catch the killer of Mr. Kirk. They expressed themselves with such fierce urgency that, in the view of some participants, it hinted at another motive: to prove they were up to the task."
