Working on the yruly daunting task of reorganizing my sewing space. Pile #1 shown here is about to be sorted, placed in see thru containers then positioned on the oposing wall. Will I keep it all? Nope, my quilting group makes quilts for our regional children's hospital and they never have enough!
One of my scrappy beauties has a new home, nephew John Henry married the lohl today, Meredith. Enjoy this quilt in the spirit in which it was given, hope, joy, and love
Next up, hand embroidery label. Almost there (since I need to deliver it on Friday.)
Here is the quilt I am sharing in the quilt show. Give me a cup of coffee a box if tissue and at least an hour and I could share the legacy.
Sewing a hanging sleeve to attach to my quilt I entered in the Smoky Mountain Quilt show. Lots of firsts here. Do I want a ribbon? Nope, just to share the story for a family legacy.
Quilting is complete but required going to my sister-by-another mother's home to complete the final quarter with her machine. I am working on the label, and hope to have this one in the books by Thursday or Friday.
3 days ago I shared the top I am quilting for a wedding present, however not all is progressing as hoped. I had tension issues on machine #1 with chosen thread. Moved to machine #2 and quilting happily along until thread jam which had niw thrown off the timing. So back to #1, wish me luck!
Finally time to baste my great-nephew's wedding gift quilt. The plan is to have it my brother's hands to deliver on their big day on the 28th. Wish me luck!
May was truly manic (hubster in hospital twice for 5+/- days for each stay) but skin graft is healing well si I can move on to other things., getting my 4sisterssewingschool running with my sisters FAM.
Congrats, I am 5 years on that other side also and living life for all its worth.
School is almost in session in East Tennessee!
Caterday, Caterday. Leo is wondering why he no longer fits in rhe basket?!?
What we saw on our walk this morning. The things that allowed this shot, 1) It was on a log in the creek, 2) I was poised on the bridge above it, and 3)The bridge is 4ft above tge creek!
I agree! I have a love/hate relationship with red. Yellow on the other hand I have twice as much of on hand. I love this !!!!!!!
Today's lion mane harvest!
The wisteria is blooming!
These are so bright and cheerful, cannot wait to see how this develops!
Yes, hiked it with my brother's church group. We grew up in G'burg so the mountains were our stomping grounds.
You have got this. I am 5 years NED.
Is this the troll bridge?
Looks marvelous!
I would also try pearle cotton. Tighter twist.
A bit of hand sewing while at the hospital with hubster. Getting IV antibiotics for a pesky infection.
In honor of caterday I offer 2 sleeping gingers on a quilt.
Hope you have a wonderful Friday.
New lettuce from old! New lettuce from old! (Can you not just hear the hawkers call that diwn the lane?) Lets try it!?!
Another owl pic. Rhis is an adult barred owl we also frequently spot on our greenway walks. He is a bit elusive, we don't see him every day, but when we do, joy!
