The N64 is fixable. Most likely dirty contacts on the cartridge connector. The fix is well documented in YouTube videos. I was able to get mine up and running again!

Itโs so obvious. Do whatโs fun for you. Get really good at it then people will pay you to do it. While youโre getting paid to do that, pick up another hobby and start getting good at that. The cycle never ends and you end up being good at a lot of things you love.
Getting the electronics dialed in on a new project. Some of you old timers might recognize this game. Looking forward to building the cabinet from scratch!
This CRT monitor has seen better days. Hopefully the tube is still good. If so, I will put it to good use!

My Nintendo 64 is nearly 30 years old! Powered in and no workie. Opened it up, inspected electronics. All good. Cleaned cartridges with IPA and connector with Deoxit D5 and that did the trick. All back together and ready for some gaming nostalgia!
Ever played Rocโn Rope? It was an arcade game released by Konami in 1983. I just brought one back to life. All I have is the circuit board. Wondering if I should build a cabinet for it. ๐ค

Fixed a classic Williams Defender arcade PCB. It had a bad ROM, two bad RAM chips and a bad logic chip. Itโs ready to bring joy (and maybe some frustration) to arcade gamers again!
Picked up a triple output bench power supply at the local electronics surplus store. Replaced a broken binding post and performed a calibration procedure. Good as new!
A classic arcade monitor came into the shop with an issue: no red color.
A close examination revealed a bad solder joint. One of the transistor pins had broken loose from the solder pad. A quick touch-up with a soldering iron restored the connection, bringing back the full spectrum of colors.

Looking at my App Store, Iโm struck by how many apps list โbug fixesโ as a regular reason for updates. As a developer, I take pride in delivering polished, bug-free releases. Bugs should be extremely rare and never commonplace. Hereโs to raising the bar for software quality across the industry!
I acquired a vintage Apple Monitor III which would only display a thin vertical line on the screen. After poking around inside, I found a bad transistor in the 12V regulator circuit. After installing a new one, the bright green monochrome screen came back to life!
Monochrome FTW!

Please give MacBrickout a try. For Mac and PC. First three levels completely unlocked but you can keep going as shareware. Best played with a mouse.
Itโs a fun, well architected game but hard to get noticed in this crowded market.
Anything you can do to spread the word: ๐๐ป
Bedrush โ that feeling when you wake up to the sound of garbage trucks in the neighborhood and you forgot to take the trash out.
There are some compelling game projects to work on too. Iโm hoping to find some artists who would be interested in working on them with me.
