I genuinely considered throwing things around and screaming in the hopes I would be seen sooner, until I realized that would probably just get me admitted rather than discharged. It was such a primal need to be OUT. Turns out that's agoraphobia!

Remembering the time last year I checked myself into the hospital for mental health and once I got put in the Psych Area, I Could Not leave until I was seen by the psych. I couldn't even leave AMA. In that moment I transformed into a feral caged animal.
i thought it was just mainly the fear of going outside but apparently it's "fearing and avoiding places or situations that might cause panic and feelings of being trapped, helpless or embarrassed" and I'm like OHHHHHHH I GOT THAT IN SPADES
You are never too old to learn things about yourself--like today I learned I have agoraphobia, so that was fun!
Nothing like doing a 6 am - 2 pm shift when you normally fall asleep at 6 am to wake up at 1:30 pm because you have delayed sleep phase disorder. but one of the 2 other ppl who know how to do your job quit. so. i am being gods bravest soldier working during the time i usually sleep
