Finance Department says no outside consultants were used during budget prep.
Here’s the news release from the premier’s office.
The cuts to the arts and culture sector will remain in place.
Program funding to be restored for seniors, people with disabilities and students who are Mi’kmaw and African Nova Scotian. Amounts to about $53 million.
Premier says they got some things wrong in the budget and apologizes. Did not do enough to explain the challenges facing the province and acted too quickly.
Premier Tim Houston has called a 10:45 am news conference today related to the budget.
