the 'yipes!'.......... they really are CoPa huh.........
just had the incredible lines exchanged on this teams meeting
"Monday is a chaser day."
"Every day is a chaser day!"
and had to swallow down following up with 'so true!!!!'
I suppose part of the issue is the conflation of different types of art (commercial products) when it comes to the above; I think it is dehumanising and exploitative to treat a comic written by singular people/small groups the same as an AAA video game when it comes to demanding availability
what media preservation is: genuine multidisciplinary labour that requires effort not just from the preservers but audiences to support these processes
what people think media preservation is: everything ever should be immediately accessible to me for free with zero strings or conditions
getting my friend who hates dropping shows into magical girl stuff was a very bad idea because normally I will just drop a precure 3 eps in if it doesn't really grab me but he will be so sad i don't want to commit to 50 episodes of a show i'm not feeling.........
i like using bluesky to say mean things that i don't want people to call me out on but still want to yell, like 'I think many of those denpa visual novels that people hype up look like things that 16 year olds think are So Deep And Crazy and come off a little bit adultchildy'
a bunch of the current discourse about the batoto shutdown/manhwa authors stirring up drama involving an author called 'YD' is making me double take every time because i have to realise it's not /that/ YD (affectionate) or /that/ YD (who is also korean)
this IS a weird one where it is 'pairing I don't like much from a 20 year old show I also don't like much' so its not like a jirai/in the way of pairs i do like, just more 'oh i lowkey dislike this.....' which is a funny situation to be in. but its calm.
oooh that's a smart approach... both allows both a positive response and gently lets you convey that it isn't for you without it hijacking the conversation/seeming critical of it.... excellently done hakase
one of the toughest things about being a grown adult is that when people link you art of a NOTP in a non-pushy way you feel bad making rude comments about it. however you do not want to leave a bland 'cute!' comment because that would imply you accept this DOGSHIT PAIR!!! in the slightest. any tips
i think they were a little confused at the excited gaikokujin doing slightly overzealous oshikatsu but i still had fun and will certainly reuse parts of this look!!
and yes apologies i shall fb now!! i have been somewhat off the SNS in recent months as you've likely seen but... i shall return...
doing subtle ship oshikatsu in a context where it miiiiight actually get noticed.... is fun (please ignore the creased shirt the hotel doesn't have an iron--)
Nonbinary flag with the words "BACK PAIN RELIEF"
I wish all of my nonbinary friends relief from back pain
there's genuinely few things more cringe than when people scrape into mascot discussions to bring up Big Challenges 😭 let me guess, your favourite anime is Cory in the House and your favourite Christmas movie is Die Hard
i'm so glad the angie of decades past is much the same as the nyangie of now......
Then if things couldn't get any better, Mochi Nichika and Mochi Mikoto walk onto stage and kiss, holding the gay flag.
VERY much looking forward to the powerpoint on this tomorrow
just heard about Soho House. this is like if WeWork was WeWank
Anby that i'll never finish
one day I shall post here...... tho it's not even twitter favouritism I just don't post these days. My neck clicked while I was writing this
