We can end Greyhound racing for good | Dogs Trust Dogs Trust, Blue Cross and RSPCA call for a phased end to greyhound racing.

According to the Greyhound Board of Great Britain, over 2,000 #Greyhounds died or were put to sleep because of racing between 2018-2021, and racing dogs sustained almost 18,000 injuries. This is heartbreaking.

More issues with nuclear-
1 vulnerable to sea level rise by the coast.
2 Not low carbon - high embodied carbon in construction, maintenance & decommissioning.
3 Still no solution to the waste issue.
4 Dangerous target for terrorism or even war.

The Hinkley C UK nuclear reactor will produce 3.2GW, it will cost £50bn.

For that the UK could have built 40GW of Wind Turbines in 1/5th of the time.

Which would even on the least windy days of the year produce TWICE as much electricity.

Nuclear is an unnecessary RIPOFF.

Photo of a flames and grey smoke coming from a bonfire of waste on a farm field. A range of metal debris remains in the ashes, mainly metal cans with labelling burnt off. It’s not clear what is still burning. Behind the fire is a rusted metal frame with some members sticking upwards and most on the ground. There is grass behind the area of the fire and a dry stone wall runs along part of the background.

Labour's attempt to remove our right to a jury trial in thousands of cases - including protest related offences - is a serious attack on our civil liberties.

That's why the Green MPs have tabled an amendment to reject it.

The Green Party says no to Labour's toolkit for tyrants.

Activists cleared of "burglary" after rescuing puppies bred for testing Contained are the thoughts and reflections from a barrister on the trial

Write up by defence barrister Samuel March about the recent jury acquittal of puppy rescuers:

"where appropriate circumstances are known or believed to exist, taking steps to rescue animals is at least capable of amounting to a defence to dishonesty offences"

Scrapping North Sea windfall tax would not reduce UK energy bills, say experts Rachel Reeves said to be considering levy cuts for oil and gas firms, but economists say this would just fatten profits

Meanwhile, the person in number 11 is reportedly considering getting rid of the tax on the excessive windfall profits generated by the fossil foolery in the North Sea …just as a new energy crisis looms. There is absolutely no economic rationale for that so it’d be easy to construe the real motives.

The fist step would be to not vote for any party that's funded/owned by Billionaires or Corps.
So that's Tories, Labour and ReformUK. (they literally are
'all the same')
Vote only for parties funded, therefore owned, by ordinary people.
So far, the Greens are looking like best choice

How much more evidence do we need? The ultra-rich and the governments supporting them will destroy everything for the sake of profit, power and pride. Nothing is precious to them - not human life, not the living world - except their own wealth and status. Our survival depends on resisting them.

Photo of the rear & side of a wrecked, rusting & abandoned black Discovery SUV. Its 2 back wheels are missing & it is propped off the ground with 3 concrete blocks stacked flat on top of each other. There is a variety of debris lying around the scene. Behind the SUV is a mound of rubble, some old modular temporary buildings & behind all a wind turbine is popping up to bring irony to the picture.

The image shows a text excerpt discussing a humorous perspective on intelligence, comparing humans and dolphins. It notes that humans have traditionally seen themselves as more intelligent than dolphins because of their technological and societal achievements like the wheel, New York, and wars. Conversely, it humorously suggests that dolphins believe they are more intelligent for precisely the opposite reasons: simply having a good time in the water.

Humans claim to be the most intelligent, but they consistently prove otherwise. Look at this as a biological weapons lab where they’re creating an antibiotic-resistant superbug pandemic. They will eventually succeed, and the fault will lie with all those that support the animal agriculture industry.

Your friend or relative comes out as trans
Question. Does this harm you in any way?
If answered is yes, left to box that says, it doesn’t, then on to next question.
If answer is no, on to next question
Question. Are you happy for them?
If answered yes, on to final box that just says, sweet.
If answer is no, on to box that says, Why not? Get your shit together.

It's not enough to kill farm animals. They have to be abused first.

A plant-based food system removes a major layer of inefficiency.

Today, huge amounts of crops aren’t eaten by people - they’re grown as animal feed.

When you remove the middle step (animals), the same land and grain can feed far more humans directly.

Photo looking down on 2 discarded reclining chairs, the one visible is upside down on the other - so what we see is almost square, placed own grass next to a metal-clad wall. The cable and motor of the reclining chair are visible along with its zig-zag metal springs. The plywood sides of the chair (under its covering) are beginning to disintegrate. In the square recess formed on the bottom of the chair (facing the sky) is a drinks can, a plastic water bottle and an unidentifiable plastic bag, Some plants are beginning to grow there too. Some loose straps are visible. There were probably intended to tie the two chairs together.
