Alewife herring fly. I did not like my first attempts, shape and color. After an hour and a half of devising, a hybrid fly, flatwing tailing and hollow fly body with a mix of bucktail and synthetics. If only I had junglecock eyes…🤷🏻‍♂️ #flytying #flyfishing

Yes! Moonlit is based out of Idaho, have not had any bad experiences with them so far. I just tied a few on a size 16.

No experience with the quality of their fly tying materials, but I just purchased up a few packs of Moonlit fishing hooks to use for tenkara flies. I do have a sweet little glass 3wt from them for small stream. #flyfishing #flytying #tenkara

Its definitely possible. I only have a few articulated streamers purchased from various shops, and a few have their hooks tied in that manor as well with the trailer hook downward facing. Not too sure why, but I thought if try.

Never really tie articulated streamers, but heres one i free-styled, looks pretty good underwater. No beads to use between the hooks unfortunately. Good profile and movement. Let me know your thoughts. #flyfishing #flytying

Seldom in New England, can you find crystal clear waters such as the known Swift River. The lower stretches provide plenty of hiding places for trout in the duckweed, cutbanks and downed trees. Harder access but well worth a shot, to escape the crowds. #flyfishing#flytying
