I always like her work. This one just resonates more.

This Monday is the 129th #BostonMarathon and 12 years since the bombing. We revisited an episode of #ReadyPrepGo with
@emedtox.bsky.social about her experience working in the medical tent that day. #disastermedicine #FOAMed #BostonStrong podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/e... @pedspandemic.bsky.social
Thanks for helping me to amplify some of the lessons I learned that day. I had a wonderful experience working with Dr. Ren & Peds Pandemic Network.

That is a terrible loss. It was definitely fantastic, coming home from college, seeing old high school friends, feeling that connection to people who liked you no matter what.
This is so cool! Hopefully will be helpful for finding our MedSky communities
I keep stopping by. It hasn't quite developed adequate activation energy yet, but from time to time has a little flurry of conversation so I try to stay in it.
It is the business owner's job to figure out if they can afford a sale or not, to figure out if it will be profitable or wise for them. Once the sale exists, it is yours to be free to take advantage of it, as much as you like. What you experienced is a lazy clerk, or a miscalculated business event.
Anyone have a good reference for time to exsanguination from an arterial laceration?
Generally seems accepted that 2-5 minutes is enough time to bleed to death from femoral or carotid artery laceration, but does anyone have a reference for this data point?
If you buy them on eBay in bulk, they are <$1 each. I buy 100-250 at a time & when I teach medical professionals I bring them as a gift for each attendee. Tax deductible as work gifts if used appropriately. If someone asks for EMS shears, I just give them to them.

Itβs been over a decade since the #BostonMarathon bombing. On the latest #ReadyPrepGo, Dr. Christina Hernon @emedtox.bsky.social joins us to share her harrowing story working at the medical tent on that day. #disastergap #spontaneousresponder #FOAMed pedspandemicnetwork.org/ready-prep-g...
Thank you @dennisrenmd.bsky.social & Peds Pandemic Network for a great conversation & podcast!
If you have never heard of #DisasterGap, have a listen. Disaster Gap is the most important, most overlooked interval at a disaster & Spontaneous Responders are the most invisible heroes within it.
Sorry about the pictures. I agree that they are horrible. I have found that many people won't listen to these new ideas unless they first understand the suffering of the rescuers.

"Disaster Gap: The Smallest (BIGGEST) Interval You've Never Heard Of"
From the moment of any disaster, through calls for help, until clear-headed first responders arrive, a time interval called the #disastergap exists.

Armbrust is excellent.
ProjectN95 was such a godsend when I needed it.
It's really good. I just took a screenshot so I can think on that a bit.

Something that helped me a lot when I first got here is that when you search for people you know, it usually doesn't find them. However, once you find someone you do know, go to their list of connected people and you are more likely to find the people that you know, even the ones you just searched.
Welcome! This place pretty much feels right, but is still just gaining momentum. Doesn't have all of the capability as the other site, but it's building nicely. Nice to have you here.
Will follow. Thanks.

Nah. That 25 minute drive through rolling hills in small towns is worth gold. Swooping and turning. Relaxing. Beautiful.
