Static Sky Travels

Along a boardwalk is a wood wall below the balcony of a bar that has multiple sections devoted to "Ianto's Shrine" There is a large board labeled Ianto's Shrine and below it are dozens and dozens of letters, postcards, photos all expressing admiration and expressing loss for the death of Ianto. The image is covered as it is using a very wide camera lens, and honestly doesn't look that good because the sun is coming in from the left and ads glare to the image.

In Cardiff, Wales is a touching tribute to Ianto Jones. Ianto, a member of the Torchwood Institute, was killed while trying to save the world from aliens in a 2009 episode of Torchwood a BBC show.

His loss was felt by many. The shrine is coming down in April, 2026.

that Is wonderful! My first attempt with birds was back in the 20th century using a film camera. I got back photos of empty branches or branches with blurry smears that I guess were birds taking flight. I wasn’t going to pay for that! Now with the phone I can take blurry photos to my heart’s content

1/2 Just learned there is a #TelephoneboxTuesday tag - and I thought I'd join in. Not sure if folks over in the UK know how far some of their telephone boxes have traveled.

These photos are from Eugene, Oregon a quick 5,000 mile (8,000 or so KM) trip, but hurry - the phone is ringing.

One in block black and white with a line image of chicken in a white circle logo, the other sign is more colorful with a red shadow on the KEN (the only part of Chicken that is visible of that version of the sign) and a chicken logo that is a realistic illustration of a chicken on top of a waving American flag.

Beautiful photo - you can really see all the different colors that hides in the feathers below. All my photos of turkeys only hint at that.
