It’s hard to believe #OffKaiGen4 was a week ago! I’m still stunned from the cosplay contest and just have a nice feeling of validation in my craft. I look at this photo and I just want to stare my sleeve for days (and shamelessly have been). I’m excited to progress this build further.

Update: I won BEST IN SHOW!! Bettel’s max luck rubbing off on me and I am still just floored. I worked so hard to make this a clean and tailored finish and I am excited to build the rest.

I had to remake the choker bc of issues with the first one. Happy with the updated version it’s going to look awesome. Spent the evening with the wig sewing in the remaining wefts and starting the styling and it looks pretty decent!

I am in downtown Los Angeles right now and it is completely surreal to hear that Trump is sending Marines here. We are listening to mariachi music. People have dogs. There are teenagers here. It is utterly and completely peaceful. Please tell your friends.

Today is boot covers take 2 and finalizing sewing in the wefts. There’s not much left to do and I have a week and a half to do it!

Did some hand sewing yesterday to piece the scarf together and add snaps to my cummerbund for the resin studs I made. Also mad the forbidden soup to dye some periwinkle wefts I had on hand a bit more blue to save my butt when it comes to the wig.

I think I have a solution. It’s going to be fine…I hope. In the meantime I spent all day on this bow for the scarf. I need to work out the tail for it but taking a little break to stretch my legs for now.

Trying not to freak out that my pink and blue weft packs had different amounts of wefts and I’m not sure there’s enough blue onessss

Been doing so much work on this and I’m hecking tired but there’s 3 weeks until the con and contest.

Parallel pathing making the boot covers and this is my first time on my own with that. Aiming to finish early this weekend so I can turn focus to wig styling.

And I’ve made a silicone mold to resin cast these faceted rhombus shapes in. Took 3 tries but got to a reasonable result. Making 8-10 (good to have some extras just in case)

It’s truly crunch time with the ramp up to OffKai! I have done…a lot. Shorts are done but so is the making of the cumberbund with tails.
