If DOGE did trim 19 billion (which I doubt) they also increased a lot of spending. Time and being able to audit the records will show that DOGE cost the government money. Plus, their actions (trimming and spending) were illegal.

I bought 2 coats from Finland in January - thought the tariff was 15%, but was charged a 28% tariff. The coats were on quite a nice sale, but it still hurt to pay the now illegal tariff.
