The devastation on its way is unimaginable - like nothing humanity has ever witnessed before - and everyone will wish they had been climate activists and β€˜hysterics’ when they had the chance. We are in a moment of unprecedented stupidity

There’s been little coverage of the fallout from Storm Darragh on Wales’s native #woodlands, beyond its effects on productive #forestry. The few sites I’ve been to have had a mixed toll of damage, but few escaped impacts. How can we ensure resilience in our woods for ongoing extreme weather events?

"One of the great tragedies of mankind is that morality has been hijacked by religion. So now people assume that religion and morality have a necessary connection. But the basis of morality is really very simple and doesn't require religion at all."

It’s funny that we call it β€œdead” wood, when it can support so much life! πŸͺ΅πŸͺ²πŸœπŸ„

Here’s a video I made earlier in the year, to spread some love for this vital habitat.

I've been quite successful - sowing into bare earth but was told they like a frosting to aid germination so always put the seeds into the freezer for a couple of days before.

Millions of non-native pheasants, bred in appalling conditions, are dumped into the countryside just to be shot. This isn’t conservation; it’s carnage. The shooting industry must be held accountable!
