Curator’s Choice 9 – 3 Moonscape Haiku Phase I, Tré’s haiku art book with co-author Thomas L. Vaultonburg was funded on Kickstarter in 3 days. (USA) This haiku is part of our Encircling Theme.

Entry 3: Corvids conspire to visit my #poetry at every turn. I grew up loving the Tlingit story of YΓ©il the raven, bringer of light, who stole the moon. May the stories of the land and our ancestors continue to bring us wisdom, peace, and clarity.

Kafka understood that an even greater indignity than being turned into a giant insect was still being required to go to work afterward.

Hypnos, god of Sleep, son of Nyx and Erebus, The Night and The Dark. It is believed Hypnos lived in a cave of poppies, in dark and in quiet, a lush platform for the dream state.

After she survived the first surgery, I sat under white blossoms to watch the night sky. The little tree bends toward the driveway, and a saw has waited in the garage for years.

This winter, before it flowered, it broke at the base.

when the fallen epileptic maple
Shuddered in pain
