While I fear that this is what locked so many of my opinions into being totally unoriginal, it really is impossible to overstate how perfect it was to have this book come out in my teenage years. (Also couldn’t resist any chance of agreeing with someone on how great of an artist Bagley is)

-work & kindness that has come from my community & loved ones in response to the creeping evils of today’s administrations. Also read through the Afterword for the first time and what a beautiful summation for this work of art. Part that most stood out to me was Deniz’s words that followed his acknowledging that the afterword was beginning to ramble: “Beautiful effort, disappointing result”.

Yesterday I finished rereading the entire Ultimate line to prep for Endgame and with the bit of spare time I have leftover between that and Endgame dropping on Wednesday I decided to go ahead and reread 20th Century Men and man, @denizcamp.bsky.social really is just that guy.

Just read it & it’s one of those works of art. I write enough that it takes a mountain to leave me speechless & Deniz just dropped 5 Everest’s on me.
