Interesting research project focusing on openings & closures of "academic degree programs (BA, MA, minors, majors, PhD) in languages or linguistics, literatures and cultural studies, translation or interpreting studies, and language teaching offered in university language centers" in Europe.

Over the years, I have frequently referred to "Let's talk and talk about it" by Willis Edmondson & Juliane House (1981), which had been out of print for some time. I was delighted to come across "Expressions, Speech Acts & Discourse" by Edmondson, House & Kadar published in 2023 by CUP.

My open access book "Intercultural Competence and Pragmatics" came out this year.
It examines how modern foreign language teachers in higher education conceptualize intercultural competence in relation to pragmatics.
