I read the DWM review of "Dragonfire" before I saw it. I recall they highlighted it as best of the season for being the most #DoctorWho like story. This may be why I loved it then, but rewatching now, it feels like a crossroads with the McCoy years really getting started here.
Edward Peel's performance as Kane highlights and elevates "Dragonfire." He chews scenery with zest. It's a shame that in 3,000 years Kane never consults a star chart to see if his home planet is still there to enact his revenge upon. #DoctorWho
We can replace Dalek voices and upgrade some special effects for #DoctorWho on DVD and Blu-ray. But we can't make the cliffhanger to part one of "Dragonfire" ever make any more sense. The Target novel gave it a shot, though.
Dragonfire was hailed by DWM as being the most Doctor Who-like story of the season. Which is both good and bad, I guess.
My dad gave me an AM radio for my birthday.
Not sure why. I'm never up that early.

With the time change, I REALLY feel this.
At my WhoMobile meeting with Sylvester McCoy, he was very enthusiastic about Sophie Aldred joining #DoctorWho as Ace. This, plus a glowing DWM review, led me to want to see "Dragonfire" ASAP. I begged my grandparents to record it onto VHS and send it to me...which they did.
The middle stories of #DoctorWho's 24th season are packed with guest stars -- and "Delta" is no exception. Looking at the extras, it feels like the cast was having a great time filming the story. Not sure it translates to me enjoying it as much as they do then or now.
The extended opening episode of "Delta" is interesting, allowing the initial installment a bit more breathing room and time for the guest cast to shine. I know the serial has undergone a fan re-evaluation in recent years, but I still don't love it. #DoctorWho
#NationalMarioDay is a good reminder that I'm terrible at most Mario Brothers games. I enjoy playing them, but I am genuinely terrible at them.

He made some choices
I get that Billy's stealing the Chimeron formula is a grand romantic gesture to win Delta's heart, but if I'm her, I'd still be annoyed he's stealing food from her kid. I often wonder if he later regretted his decision. #DoctorWho
Part of the disconnect of "Delta" is the titular Bannermen. Outside of Gavrok, the rest of the Bannerman squadron is fairly laughable and not really a huge threat. I keep wondering why they're so feared across the galaxy when they all want to hiss at people. #DoctorWho
In a parallel universe, there's a version of the Seventh Doctor's era that features Ray instead of Ace. Rewatching "Delta," I find myself wondering what that era might look like. Not sure I'd love it as much since the storyline wouldn't lead to "Fenric." #DoctorWho

He told a story about wanting to use his whistling to mimic birdcalls to distract the villains. Not sure if this was Delta or not, but I somehow decided it was.
