I will say, reading Vin was so "I'm not like other girls" coded that I rolled my eyes so hard I went blind at times. And then I read Kelsier and said, "See, that's how you write a woman...normally." Kelsier would be a phenomenal woman, IMO. But I'm digging the magic systems and imagery. It's a blast

Now reading Mistborn as @brandonsanderson.bsky.social is one of my hubs favs. It's a whiplash reading male writers after only women, especially written 00s, but it was his response to the feminist community that convinced me to read in the end.

Love to hear more non spoiler thoughts on the topic.

For Valentine's, we used our cooking dice to create this amazing dinner.

Pasta made with fennel, onion and artichoke hearts with heavy cream and white wine topped with fresh dill. Then, crostinis with marinated steak in pickle juice and topped with a creamy dill sauce and gochujong.

I'm always looking for great fantasy books with main characters over the age of 25 if you have any recs. Too many "chosen one" children making problems that could be solved with basic communication for me 🤣
