Electronic screen showing introductory slide of the Alliance for Sustainable Building Products 2025 Reuse Summit. Most of the display on the screen has an orange background with very pale blue text across it. The right of the screen has a blue background (abutting the orange with a slanted edge) involving an almost grey image of a multi-storeyed building with scaffolding and fabric sheeting over it; this has small black text at the top right giving WiFi Code instructions. The screen has a black outer edge and is fitted within a pale, grained wood wall. In front is a four seated speaker podium with three mics visible. To the right is an upright wooden podium with part of the Institution of Structural Engineers logo appearing. Parts of eight seats in the auditorium are in front of both podiums.
Good PM at @asbpuk.bsky.social Reuse Summit. One highlight was the phrase “possibilism is your friend” from Will Arnold of @istructe.bsky.social as it brought to my mind ideas for celebrating @thebaytrust.bsky.social #PinesCalyx (itself made of reused materials) 21st anniversary in 2027!

BECCS boosts the carbon story for timber:
"Bioenergy with carbon capture & storage (BECCS) could potentially capture & permanently store over 90% the carbon sequestered in timber building materials. BECCS would prevent release of stored biogenic carbon from the timber element at end-of-life" ARUP
