Sorry if that’s not super clear character limit and all. You don’t need to make a whole new account it’s just something you need to do in settings so you login with an email you never use anywhere else but your old email address still sends to your main new ms address. I did it for the same reason.

You can make a new email account (outlook or other domain if you want) and have that be your ms login but have the old (current) email “forward” to it. So you can keep using your old email to make accounts on other sites but if that info gets out they can’t login to your ms account anymore.
