I have wanted a kit of this thing for eighteen years. Somewhat related note: Eighteen years?! How has it been eighteen years?!

This might genuinely be my favourite figure of 2025
I still have mine, been calling him Alternity Backstop for so long I'd nearly forgotten that wasn't his official designation

If they really want to do a TRON Haslab project, give us an in-scale Recognizer, or a Sentinel sized Final Battle Sark/MCP. Something that you couldn't do at retail, thus being worthy of Haslab status, not this. This should be individual releases you could pick up at Walmart. End of line.
8/9
If it gets switched to a retail line, the chances for variants, like red Flynn, or vintage toy colour figures, or expansion into more characters like Clu, Ram, Dumont, generic blue program troop builders, there's places to go! This really is the best scale for a TRON line, you can even do tanks!

So, final tally we have $100 in figures and $60 in vehicles, so that diorama piece is $100? Oof. Easy solution here. Either turf it, or put it on Pulse as an exclusive for people who want it, and release the rest of the set as the first wave of a retail line, because this project will not fund.
6/9
We then have the Light Cycles, two of them. Judging by the size of them, including effect part, these things should be about $30 tops each. You could easily pack 'em with a generic figure and put 'em on store shelves for like $50, with colour variants beyond yellow and blue, like red and orange
5/9
The set gets you the film's primary heroes and main villain, but also one generic red program. A lone army builder figure in a $260 set. Meaning that, as presented, if you're like me and want to photograph these figures battling a wave of enemy programs, better get your wallet ready.
4/9
The figures look good, don't get me wrong, but they would be, realistically speaking, taking into account the licensing fee from Disney, as well as the paint and accessory count, analogous to Hasbro's own Star Wars Vintage Collection figures. Currently Hasbro Pulse sells those for $20ea. Easy.
3/9
This set, which costs $260USD, by the way, consists of five carded 3.75" figures (think Star Wars Vintage Collection), two vehicles, and a light-up diorama base that, frankly, does little to justify the price tag. No shade on whoever designed it, but it's two flat planes lit from underneath.
2/9
Let's look at it objectively. The core idea of Haslab is crowdsourcing the funding for things they couldn't realistically do in the modern retail setting. Projects like Unicron, or the Razor Crest, or the Proton Pack do arguably fit this description, sure... but Tron? Let's break this down:
1/9
I really hope Hasbro doesn't get the wrong impression about this TRON "Heroes of the Grid" Haslab project. It's not that people don't like TRON, or are unwilling to buy TRON figures... It's that this Haslab project is hilariously bad. Like barely over 1000/10K backers in two weeks bad.
Time for Zeztz soon. Episode 6, let's go!
What if Black Sun, but 1987?
In the theater to watch Tron: Ares. There are literally two other people in here.
Me: Well, at least it's stopped you from advertising PokΓ©mon sex dolls to me, that waβ
Algorithm: Did you say PokΓ©mon sex dolls? We got a ton of those! Here are some links and...
Me: WHY ARE YOU A THING?!
You know, it's good to see the algorithm still isn't quite all-knowing.
Algorithm: We recently logged you visiting a site related to this product. We think you should buy it, here's a targeted ad for it!
Me: I visited the site to buy that... I already have it. Stop advertising things I already own
Forgot it was rapture day today... I walked past a couple empty pairs of flip flops earlier, guess that makes sense now.
Quick check-in. Show of hands, anyone get raptured today?
Seeing a lot of targeted ads these days telling me I need to get into voiceover... Tell me something I don't know, algorithm.
Star Trek: Lower Decks gave us an in-universe explanation for why exploding consoles and panels always inexplicably shower the crew with rocks. Why does this have to be the final season?!
We just got the wave in at work (the day after I grabbed a lone Cutman at GameStop) and they remain as charming as the first wave
Tried to envision what an After Colony equivalent of the GM might look like. Something built based on the data and designs of the Gundams, but simplified for mass production. Used Gundam Breaker 4 to bring my idea to life, I think it turned out pretty good.
I see a pirate Batman figure, this is where my brain goes.
I regret nothing.
New sleep paralysis demon just dropped!
Baby Mr. Popo from Dragonball Daima is somehow even more unsettling than regular Mr. Popo.
Look, I'm glad I got the set, but fifty Canadian dollars for a bug, a tape, and some cubes is a tough price to swallow.
Watching a Megaman lore video while stuck sick at home reminded me that Mark Gatha was both X and Domon from G Gundam, and that I always wanted to do this... So, yeah.
So, thoughts on The Acolyte:
Solid Star Wars side story. Some interesting story points, I liked the characters, the acting, the fights, the locations... and I also like how they left it at the end. Room for more stories if they go that route, but also a decent ending if this is all we get.
