It is summer in the Highlands, The climbing season has begun. MountaineeringBears flake out their ropes, Beneath the shining summer sun. So slip on your climbing harness, Sort out all the gear, We really must start climbing Before the rain clouds appear. The slabs are warm and dry and clean, The paw holds firm and grippy, Even the greasy chimney climb Is not so slimy or so slippy. High on a rocky ledge a warm breeze Rustles through your fur as you belay. Climbing is the perfect way To spend a perfect summers day.
