they're made out of foam, for me it feels like a strange half squishy half hard sponge, they're kinda rough textured, quite pleasant to the touch, but can get a bit overwhelming :<
I hope a close up picture may help visualise the texture :3x

also a little heads up, the hole is kind of tight to ensure better grip on any pencil (not recommended on pens it'll get stuck jsnskns) so to put it on and off apply much force 🥹🫶

I can share you the ones I got dear! and I was trying to hold them with both a normal pencil and the apple one, they feel strangely comfortable! the grip is very wide, perfect to not force your hand shut closed and cramp up, it'll take a while to get used tho, it makes your grip and strength less-
