If you step on curse tiles in the dungeon enough times do they just become normal tiles to you? Like after a while the unusual thing becomes NOT hitting a curse trap when you step into a room.

It's better than hard pointy armor bits, one must confess..

The important thing is to have a party member who understands and can maybe help you out when you get wedged in a narrow passageway or some other embarrassing thing happens..

It makes adventuring a bit more of an interesting challenge! Surely that's sufficient excuse for the unusual equipment.
