Note that I am grabbing any little glimmer of hope for the future in the wake of the absolute insanity taking place in the US right now. I am heartbroken by so many things going on and need some hope. This little park gives me hope I so desperately need, however insignificant, so I’m clinging to it!
I hear these Cope’s gray treefrogs in the part of this wetland closest to my house. I am so excited!
I just learned that my city is turning a swampy area in my neighborhood into a wetland park!! I could not be happier about this. I have worried for years that the space would be destroyed to add yet more apartments. This is much better - I’ll be able to walk to this park in less than 10 minutes!
I enjoy that there’s one insect group called Lies on this. Accurate.

I would love to be added! I am not working as an aquatic ento currently, but I studied giant water bugs in grad school and did water quality work with macros.
When you have to work late leading a public astronomy night, it’s great when you come back to a sunset after going out for burritos.
