Scoring is a bit of a struggle to me, so whenever I have a loaf where the wheat stalk doesn't blow out during baking, I get unnecessarily excited.

Were there some unsettling scenes? Yeah, sure. Horror though? No way, unless you consider confronting your ideas on gender to be "horror".
I finally sat down today and watched I Saw the TV Glow. My biggest takeaway is that they are doing the movie a huge disservice calling it a "horror movie". There was nothing remotely horror about it, and I put off watching it for a hot minute because it was advertised as such.
Folks have asked what they can do. Be the first one to step in the way when this happens. Being a mortified bystander helps nobody.
This is the time to actively get in the way of things.
