Not a big deal, but thanks. Iβve been getting called Bruce my whole life; just wanted any potential traffic to be able to find me. Thanks for the correction, though.

Bryce Napier, not Bruce, in case anyone wants to check out my other work. But thanks for posting, Kristy!
Two nude models at a weathered door.
Slowly making my way through old photo sessions. I don't know if it's just winter, but I've been moving like molasses through my lethargy, despite severely limiting new shoots. I found this one of @meghanclaire.bsky.social and @astridkallsen.bsky.social intriguing, despite being a misfire.

I like the cover image. Is this the Bjorn of Peter, Bjorn & John?
Nude woman reclining in an outdoor, rusty claw-foot bathtub. The tub rests on a concrete pedestal; a sheer, embroidered white garment hangs over the edge of it. A butterfly rests in the greenery behind her, where it has replaced the dot on a letter 'i' in the word "flit" as a title. The same word is rendered twice in stylized Morse code down the left half of the image, both as a visual juxtaposition with the painterly rendering of the image, and to provide censorship to limit the nudity.
The original wider version of the previous photo, without the graphic design elements or tight cropping.
"Flit"
I like to make faux album art for my playlists. I've been doing it since the 90s. Had to crop in a lot for you to notice the focal point of the titleβthe butterflyβthat happened to be in shot with @astridkallsen.bsky.social in this relic of a tub on a hot summer day.

Got that Pixies 'Surfer Rosa' flavor.
Black and white of a nude woman framed by the light from a window-less window opening.
Flashing back to last summer with @kristyjessica.bsky.social as I was scrolling through past photoshoots to see if anything would be cool as faux album art.

Studio shot of a woman in a wool-lined, red plaid hooded bathrobe and Ugg-style boots. The hood is up, and she is delicately holding it open, with the robes fuzzy matching belt still bridging over her midsection.
After working through a highly conceptual, post-process focused project with @anastasiamaye.bsky.social, we had time left over, so we played with the idea of high fashion posing in a low fashion outfit. A sweet bonus from burning clock, letting her move as she wanted.

Black and white image image of a woman in bed wearing a satin nightie, twisted in sleep until her breasts have escaped their straps.
"Good Morning!"
Starting off strong in 2026. I was able whittle my vision down to a palatable two words: imperfectly sexy. Like when that cute nightie you wore gets twisted around while you sleep. Relatable, human, but still adorably sexy.

A nude woman sits sideways in an old upholstered armchair. On the wall behind her is a painting of a wrapped ham such as one might find in a butcher's shop.
Happy new year! Haven't put up a photo in a while. It felt a little weird cross-pollinating my comments on a local radio event, so I let my account sit for a bit. This is Mighty Earthling from November of last year, right at my house.

Do I actually think Blind Melonβs cover of the Schoolhouse Rock song β3 Is A Magic Numberβ is one of the ten best covers in history? No. But it was on my list because, you know, fun. I have to remember I can just cue it up if it doesnβt make the #xpncountdown one-vote mix tape. But itβs not as fun.
Thatβll have to be the consolation prize that Kirtsy MacCollβs βYou Just Havenβt Earned It Yet, Babyβ didnβt make the #xpncountdown (but surely got more than just my wifeβs vote). Nice Smiths cover.
Still time for Motley Crueβs βSmokinβ In The Boys Roomβ to sneak in there. #xpncountdown
Nice uptick in Kinks covers in the past hour. #xpncountdown
Siouxsieβs Prudence. The last of my picks I expect to hear. On my wifeβs list as well. #xpncountdown
I love that Social Distortion could turn up this high on the #xpncountdown, as it doesnβt seem a very XPN song. But then, I didnβt live here in the β90s. Maybe it was big.
Mostly I feel music is out there to be enjoyed, but Iβm weirdly possessive of Talk Talk, so I hated that cover of Itβs My Life when it came out, convinced I would have to share this thing I loved with the filthy casuals. In the end, most people didnβt know or care it was a cover. #xpncountdown
I think Siouxsieβs βDear Prudenceβ is my only remaining one with a legitimate chance. I donβt remember my whole list, though. Iβm 3 or 4/10.
Iβm experiencing a little whiplash in going from from hoping my picks make the #xpncountdown to hoping Iβm the only person that voted for it.
Run-DMC almost goes top 100 despite being the example of what doesnβt count as a cover. I have to say, I kind of approve, because I mean come ON, but still. Chaos. #xpncountdown
Blondie is second that I have 100% confidence was on my list, maybe up to my fourth? I only seem to remember the ones that have no hope of falling this high. #xpncountdown
Maybe what I really wanted in my heart was 885 ska covers, with an occasional thrash/punk one thrown in. I donβt even particularly like Reel Big Fish, but this is the bash-em-out my expectations were primed for. #xpncountdown
It was tragic and awful. Saw her live in Ann Arbor, MI, circa 199β¦2? (With an unknown David Gray opening, years before his breakthrough with White Ladder.) But I had no idea she was making music as far back as β79.
Doubly, I could see it being a cover of of some obscure 1958 song, but a 1979 Kirsty MacColl song? That just blew my mind. #xpncountdown
I thought a higher percentage of the #xpncountdown would be like that cover of Come On Eileenβnot so much turning tunes into torch songs or frameworks for a prog jam, but just ripping through an old familiar song, where itβs fun, almost independently of whether itβs good.
Camper! Iβm, like, 80% confident this was on my list. One of my 11s if not. CvB forever, baby! #xpncountdown
Because Cat Stevens supported the fatwa against author Salman Rushdie for writing The Satanic Verses.
I need my own detective show.
True story: I thought Dave was saying βMaxwell, Jumpβ until I heard the hammock-swinging delivery of Roddy Frame. And then it made so much more sense.
David Grayβs gut-wrenching transformation of a pretty terrible (sorry) Soft Cell song should have been higher, because I 100% would have included it on my ballot had I thought of it while voting. #xpncountdown
