We often think of cell identity as the result of biochemical signals, soluble or membrane-bound. Join to the @fnucleosome.bsky.social seminar series if you would like to know more on how nanoscale extracellular topography can directly regulate cell identity in embryonic stem cells.
What a BANGER! Thanks so much from the aficionados!

We are delighted to announce that Alice Sherrard will be joining the Institute as a Group Leader in October!
Alice is an outstanding researcher with expertise in #chromatin topology & #ElectronMicroscopy, combing these with genetic models in her new research group - Chromatin Regulation in Cancer
In this episode we talked with Patrick Murphy from Cornell University about his work on Placeholder Nucleosomes to zygotic genome activation and cellular identity. #podcast #chromatin #epigenetics

That's...wait-a-mintue...that's you!
; )
I recently reviewed a paper where the corresponding author was SO blunt, bordering rude, & started every sentence like they hated me instead of "thank you my king for the comment", and I was like FAIR, I'm here to comment on the science, and don't have a micropenis ego that can't handle this tone.
Anyone else seeing this with H3K27ac in CUT&Tag?
Thanks a lot for sharing your experiences, Stefan! That is really weird with H3K27ac. That's the very modification I would have considered a no-brainer in no matter what assay. What are the issues? Fewer peaks, peak height, noise...all combined?

Thanks a lot for the feedback, Tim! Yes, there is a lot of potential and lot remains to be done. But have you had the need to "go back to" ChIP as well - for some targets maybe?
Hey Chromatin Friends!
Long time no chromatin question...
For many of you, CUT&x (RUN/Tag) works really well but some of you have had their frustrations with CUT and "gone back" to ChIP-Seq. Can you share your experiences in the comments!?
Would love to hear from you!
Sharing is appreciated : )

Congratulations to *Dr.* Ngoc Cao @ngoccao.bsky.social on a fantastic PhD defence ๐ฅณ Stay tuned to learn more about her insightful PhD research!
Sometimes, that would be a wonderful escape...
What a blast it was to be in that very temple the first time! Think it was my favourite one - back in the blessed days of Idontgiveafuckandjustplaythisgamenow.
A very nice message being shared here! Thank you Asifa!
And love to see many familiar faces (Herbert โค๏ธ).

Brain with puzzle overlay to show that our study provides missing pieces of the puzzle of human brain development by delivering the most comprehensive picture of hindbrain development to date. We have strived to go beyond just another multi-omics atlas to gain deep insights by: 1. Meticulously annotating cell clusters 2. Extracting regulatory programs in terms of coordinated gene sets and accessible regulatory elements 3. Using deep learning to identify regulatory syntax 4. Resolving context-specific TF activity
Excited to share our preprint on our new multi-omic atlas of human hindbrain development. Led by postdoc Piyush Joshi, in collaboration with @kaessmannlab.bsky.social and Pfister labs, our atlas represents the first comprehensive view of human hindbrain development. www.biorxiv.org/content/10.6...
On #WorldCancerDay, we recognize the critical role epigenetics plays in advancing cancer research.
Active Motif is proud to support researchers worldwide with tools that enable deeper insight into cancer biology, including ChIP-Seq Kits & antibodies.
