Realization: food prep and leftovers usage is just a merge game.
I figured out this is why I hate “cooking” but I love figuring out meal prep stuff.

- stretch and fold it in a specific way every 30 min for 2 hrs
- Shape carefully and rise again
- bake
My friends that is still kneading, just on 0.5x speed and you can't go anywhere

I can’t tell you how awesome it is to hear from someone who has my pieces from a while back to compare they see now. I think I know what pieces you have and believe it or not, these come from those also. Those pieces in that era heavily inform these even though it might be hard to see!

And what is that story? I can’t explain it. If I could, I wouldn’t have to paint & print it. It’s a story about disruption, interference both constructive and destructive, the hope of resolution with the reality of integration.
I’m not making a lot of my current work available to buy yet because I need it in the studio for reference for the rest of the work — but these are ones that I feel are “stand-alone stories,” work that says what I’m currently trying to say in small bites.
I’ve been trying to find that middle missing piece of the story. I’ve made a few pieces that feel like leads in that direction. These pieces are some of the explorations that have come out of the current body of work.
The current body of work began as paintings, but it drew inspiration from prints I’d made before. After the paintings the energy moved back to prints; it felt like the initial prints were one part of the story and the paintings were another, but a piece of the story in the middle was missing.
New pieces from the studio. I’m at an inflection point with my current work; there’s a lot going on in my head. I’ve had to make maps of how all the work I’m currently doing fits together, because it feels a jigsaw puzzle with some missing pieces yet to be discovered. 🧵

Some more spelling practice by Onfim with some human figures who have round heads and varying numbers of fingers on their big hands.
Onfim’s writing practice accompanied by 7 little people in his particular drawing style, who tend to have very big hands with many fingers.
Nice AI-image-generating tool, but it will never be as great an artist as Onfim, a child who lived in the Novgorod Republic in the mid-1200s and who scribbled these drawings and schoolwork writings on birch bark at the age of 6 or 7.
So I implemented this today...let me know if you try it out and if you run into any issues with it!

I've made some Hexaboo updates based on player testing and input!
- passing will now apply a score multiplier. This should help with making it feel more strategic.
