Let's be clear: banning mifepristone = a national abortion ban.

Mifepristone has been safe, effective and FDA-approved for 20 years.

Extremists won’t stop until abortion is banned everywhere. I'll keep fighting to pass my Women’s Health Protection Act to restore the right to abortion nationwide.

We all need to get out and vote in November to end this madness.

Trump’s Attempt to Brand Anti-Fascism as Terrorism Is on Trial A case in Texas is testing whether or not the Trump administration will be able to punish wide swaths of protesters if an event turns violent.

A jury will now consider whether the Prairieland Nine who protested outside an ICE jail are guilty of antifascist "terrorism."

I profiled the case & break some news:

Ex-AG Bill Barr, who railed against antifa back in 2020, privately met with the judge mid-trial.

AI Apocalypse Looms. We’re Already Blowing It. Surely there are more options than letting AI run wild or shutting it down, right? Right?

It’s not hard to imagine a world in which the 2028 election hinges instead on the future of American AI regulation. It’s hard to overstate, too, just how wide open the political terrain is.

β€˜They pushed so many lies about recycling’: the fight to stop big oil pumping billions more into plastics Plastic production has doubled over the last 20 years – and will likely double again. For author Beth Gardiner, metal water bottles and canvas tote bags are not the solution. So what is?

Trying to use less plastic?

Big Oil and the plastics industry are spending billions to make sure everyone else uses more.

β€œI think what stood out most is the deliberateness and intentionality over the years of pushing plastic into our lives,” said @bethgardiner.bsky.social. β€œIt was such a shock."

Errors on your credit report can raise your interest rates, block you from renting, or cost you a job.

The CFPB once forced credit bureaus to fix those mistakes. Now, under this administration, oversight is collapsing and the agency is handling fewer disputes even as complaints keep piling up.

Today I get to share some good news.

Carmen Mejia was recently exonerated after spending 20 years in prison for a crime she did not commit.

Because of her conviction, she might have been deported.

But thanks to people speaking up, Carmen is now free.

Keep speaking up.

We already know that a plant-based diet and at least 30 minutes of exercise a day and avoid avoiding alcohol and cigarettes, decreases the risk of heart attack, stroke, and dementia by over 40%.

It just takes changing one’s habits. Which no one wants to do they’d rather have a pill or an injection.

OK. As a geriatrician who takes care of a lot of people with dementia and whose mother has had frontal dementia, they would be lovely to have a magic pill to reverse Alzheimer’s.

However, it’s more useful to look at it as scarring the way emphysema is to the lungs or even long Covid is…1/

This is how our government has been corrupted:

1) Donors give huge sums to elect politicians
2) Elected officials rewrite rules in donors' favor
3) Donors make huge profit
4) Repeat

We must get big money out of politics. It’s the root of all evil in Washington.

January 2021 was the deadliest month of the pandemic. 3000 Americans died daily, 95,000 in total.

And Prasad was *mocking* people for avoiding COVID.

Shame on anyone who treated him as a good faith actor or serious thinker.

Let’s be honest about his record.

Obama: "We are living in a time where it can be hard to hope. Each day we wake up to some new assault on our democratic institutions. Another setback to the idea of the rule of law ... but this man - Rev. Jesse Jackson - inspires us to take a harder path ... bc if we don't step up, nobody else will"

I charged my EV last night (from 20 percent to 100 percent) and it cost me about $17.

Beyond the no gas, the car just rides so beautifully. Got it in July and cannot imagine ever going back to gas car.
