Oh, I -absolutely- bought the t-shirt version of this when I was away in Boston, haha
SO, YES ACTUALLY GET IT

That means buckets to me, dude! ๐
Gosh this is such a journey for the eyes. I love this ๐๐๐
Thank you! I wrote a short books-worth of poems about this fella but Iโm holding onto it for now. ๐
I hope you find someone who understands coyote paws ๐
Iโll just have to draw how the date went, wonโt I? ๐
AW thatโs so cute!!
He tried that but the screen was too bright so he tried to turn it down but took 12 screen shots and switched on airplane mode and gave up after 15 minutes of whining and strife
He doesnโt want to have thumbs, he just wants to be understood ๐บ๐
That makes it all worth it to me
He would use text to speech but he just barks
This is such a completely precious idea oh my god
Thank you! Iโm gonna make time to draw more of this feller
Thatโs very thoughtful because heโs always using his teeth for everything
Please read the alt text for deeper context ๐พ๐๐พ
Thumbs, a 3-panel comic: 1. A tiger sits up alone on his bed, looking at his phone. 2. โIt was real nice seeing you again tonight. I havenโt stopped smiling.โ The Tiger wrote. He then receives three responses that seem like gibberish. Someone struggling to convey their thought. Auto-correct clearly failing them. But the tiger can understand the message. โI like you, too.โ 3. A wolf sits alone on his bed, looking at his phone. Struggling to hold the device in his two dog-paw hands. Without thumbs, he can only nap his screen to text as best as he can. For the first time, he feels understood. โโ There once was a wolf, believe it or not,โจWith floppy grey ears and a snout like a blot.โจBut what made him so strange, if you count all his claws,โจInstead of two hands, he was born with two paws

Honestly thatโs the hardest part
Let me know if you need any help!
Yeahhh thereโs a lot of friction starting out. I had to take a day or two away from it when it got real bad. But I needed to jump back in.
Itโs better going into it with a few friends who are motivated in learning it, too. Problem solving together made the victories so much sweeter.
Yo I really appreciate the insight. Iโll give it a shot this weekend after I get OBS and some audio rerouting figured out!
Niiice! I might try out Wine to get Clip to work natively on my system here soon.
Making the switch is the best decision Iโve made. Once I found my footing and figured out KDE custom themes and skins, itโs like booting into my own mind palace.
YEH! Well so far I havenโt needed Wine for anything quite yet. A buddy of mine uses it to get FL Studio working, and it works great for him! I have 0 experience with Wine right now.
Yeh Flash a distro on a USB and test it out. Mint is approachable. Try a few and see what fits you!
Basically I would run commands or install programs that would completely rip apart my audio setup. Itโs very unique from Windows. Some things can be a little fragile and break without you knowing why. Sometimes youโre better off reinstalling after you troubleshoot for 3-4 hours. 8)
Thank you!! Itโs rare to hear anyone say that, haha. Itโs mostly โEw. Why arenโt you using Arch/Mint/Fedora? Are you insane?โ
You just gotta ignore the chuckies and use a distro that works for you, not them ;3
Linux is an operating system separate from Windows and Apple OS. Iโm wanting to move away from using Microsoft Windows forever if I can.
You can look up YouTube videos about Linux and get a better idea of what it is. But itโs free and open source!
Using Clip on my iPad mainly! And Blender for 3D and 2D animation and modeling.
Krita is free and open source! Itโs mighty powerful and looks great, though I havenโt spent a lot of time in it yet. Iโll give it a spin sometime.
So as far as I know, Clip doesnโt work in Linux. You might be able to use something like Wine to emulate it?
My setup is a little unique where I primarily draw on my iPad using Clip Studio.
There are a lot of really good drawing programs for free on Linux! Krita being one of them.
Aaaabsolutely! All of those qualities will be tested to their limit. But I donโt regret it at all. I still have a lot to learn, but I couldnโt be happier with where Iโm at.
Of course! A lot of it is going to be trial and error, lots of YouTube tutorials, passive aggressive booger beards telling you to give up in forums, and a few re-installs of your distro, haha.
But stick with it. You gotta learn from the mistakes. I believe in you! ๐
For anyone wondering, Iโm using Ubuntu Studio 24. Itโs ideal for me because itโs very approachable and itโs set up for folks who do audio work as well as 3D modeling, sculpting, and animation. I really, really like it.
Itโs been an ENORMOUS test of patience and pain tolerance but it was so worth it. I -love- my custom setup and got to know a ton of cool open source programs. Things that are better than software I paid money for. AND THEYโRE FREE!
Anyway, back to drawing these very huge dudes.
