You’re not following the plot closely enough. The ‘more’ children will have spent their days up a chimney or down a mine. Nobody wants that sort of thing, all dirty, hungry and vexatious hanging around at the next table. Probably exclude the mothers too.

There were a huge number of people filming who walked in front at first and then scattered around the streets looking for incidents to video. Expect very tightly edited footage from BF in due course. This will be a huge financial loss.
Video footage shows the turnout was very low. The crowd fitted easily under the Store Street railway bridge. Possibly 200-300 marchers. The first drone footage bears out the poor attendance. The redirect is simply a poor excuse.
