I donโt know shit about the ins and outs of Linux filesystems, but btrfs has been the default one on Fedora for years. I have several machines running it without issue.

You may also know me as st3ph3n@mastodon.social. Iโm a dual ๐ฎ๐ช๐บ๐ธcitizen. I like books, motorcycles, photography, dogs, and video games. I post infrequently. Currently living in Illinois. I hate Illinois nazis. All photos are my own.

Black 'n yellow = best Yamaha colors
I'll listen to podcasts sometimes. I find the wind noise makes music just sound like shit unless I'm staying to quite low speeds.
I think it is becoming a more common thing for shit-tier Windows laptops too.
Ooh, that's extra slimy. One assumes that 1TB of 'included' OneDrive storage also comes with a monthly subscription obligation too.
From my cold, dead hands, motherfucker.
(I bought it)
Looks like Chained Echoes (2022) is on sale for $10 on Steam at the moment. Color me tempted...

Just gotta get that R off his name on the midterm ballot. Weasel.
Having both a carbed bike and a fuel injected bikeโฆ I fucking love fuel injection.

Something tells me that the prices of used EVs are about to recover in a big wayโฆ
Lightbox photo of the back of a very damaged NEMA 14-50R receptacle. Significant melting happened on one of the hot poles, and the insulation on the heavy gauge red wire was severely burned. The melted plastic created a lot of oily goo, which is the brown substance that can be seen on the metal parts.
I had a slight electrical mishap at my house earlier today... The outlet at the end of a 240V/50A circuit used for charging an electric vehicle got a bit spicy. Fortunately all of the damage was limited to the outlet and one hot wire.

Night photo of some rope lights twisted around the bottom of the fence around a wooden deck. It has been raining so there is some water on the deck reflecting the lights.

1, but then a series of computer keyboards and mice until the PS2 era.
I'd love to have one of these for my old-ass Sony Mavica, but they've become quite expensive! It can only fit six full-resolution jpegs on a floppy disk.
Nope, their anti-cheat prevents it from working on Linux
I only just now noticed the heinous typo in this post. Please Bluesky, give us an edit function.
Q3DM17 my precious
Just discovered this site which lets you test drive Linux distros online, I think its a cool idea.

The usability of most Linux distros for normal people has made massive leaps forward in the past few years. There's never been a better time to try it.
Screenshot of Goro Majima in pirate garb
Iโve been playing Like a Deagon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii for about a week now, and am so totally into it. Itโs silly, itโs fun, itโs action-packed. Itโs Majima.
I think this game was let down by a weak demo that really didnโt do it justice.

I own a '75 CB750F but I gotta say I really do like the styling of those early '80s ones, which is why I'm pretty stoked by the prospect of the new CB1000F, not that I could afford to buy one until they're several years old. Assuming they even come to the US market.
The games that generally won't work tend to be AAA multiplayer things with enforced kernel-level anti-cheat. Not the kind of shit I play anyway. All of my single player games work just fine.
Yeah, Linux isn't as mature on Apple Silicon Macs, but Asahi Linux is making strides in that department.
Godspeed. There's never been a better time to do it.
