Two cards featuring dogs from Regicide Legacy, stuck to a fridge with small magnets.
Sorry, Badgers from Mars and @sketchgoblin.bsky.social, I refuse to put these back in the mission boxes as instructed. These good boys are now on the game room fridge.
Main art of Karnok
The new Bazaar character Karnok seems very good, based on my getting 10 wins with a different build on every run with him so far. But even once heβs nerfed he'll still have a cool mechanical hook, and great art and fun darker vibe. My fave expansion character by a lot!

More Sniper Elite
Finally learned and played Sniper Elite: The Board Game by @rebellionunplugged.bsky.social and it lived up to the hype! Shooting with line of sight creates a very smart hidden movement game puzzle. I got caught quick and then the next sniper player outwitted us by hiding in one place for 6 turns π
Heck yes, this looks awesome. I love this structure for expansions going forward if it's the new norm.
The best way to familiarize yourself with a reviewer and how their opinions tend to compare to yours is to do exactly this, no?
If it sells coffee and food I guess it's not that unreasonable
Ugh I don't need an Old King's Crown expansion but I might give them my money anyway because I like their posts
Got back to Regicide Legacy after a couple months and it was as fantastic as ever. My one gripe is that the sessions are getting significantly longer as they get crunchier and the decks expand, but each mission remains clever and so satisfying to pull off especially when it takes a couple tries.
Finally some good news today. This show was, somehow, excellent.
This moment was incredible!
Photo of a car thermometer reading 99 degrees
Totally normal 99 degree February day
This is amazing.

Wow, this game looks gorgeous
Interesting! I'd planned to pretty much ignore this but might have to give it a chance
Oh man, I loved this game. Played it on ipad some years ago but I think iOS updates killed that version at some point along the way. :(
But it indeed can still be a stressor when more than a few of them pile up and I feel obligated to cover them all.
I love to hear this from reviewers I enjoy/trust, and at the same time I do accept them for our playthrough channel. The channel revenue doesn't even cover the cost of video editing software so free access to a wider breadth of games to spotlight on camera is a huge plus.
New Power Curve is up, the series where we rank every player card in the Arkham Horror LCG through a robust scientific approach. This time: Would you rather play the bless investigator or the blessed investigator? And, can anything sink lower than Song of the Dead?!
It's the good time of year in lemon tree ownership, where we enjoy having fresh lemons just turning ripe.
A month from now we'll have cooked and made drinks with them constantly and used a whole 15 lemons, with 200 more literally looming over us. That's when the blessing becomes a curse.
@optimalplay.bsky.social recently ran Issa Brightmore against Scatha Kalani. Were they able to engineer a victory? #Ashes #ashesascendancy #plaidhatgames

In this absolutely absurd video, we finally play through Barkham Horror. It's the dog and cat themed official parody of Arkham Horror that somehow exists! youtu.be/sqKbTIiW6HE
The already well established term for that is PRE-constructed decks. Not that the layman just learning about games knows that.
It's kinda just semantics but I prefer "constructed deck game," which IMO better conveys that constructing the deck is not the gameplay. Also it isn't just synonym words in the same order like deck building and deck construction.
Yeah once with the @boardgamebarrage.bsky.social guys. I had just an okay time with it really! But still interested to give it another go and I think this group will like it.
The board game Arcs in progress on the table
A photo I took of my hand of cards in the final round where I absolutely needed to declare the number 3 and 4 ambitions to possibly win.
Got Arcs back to the table this week, trying to get everyone in the group experienced so we can play the campaign soon. The story of the game for me was repeatedly identifying narrow routes to victory and then totally blowing it on the execution.
Great now I'm watching Perception Check on loop again, thanks
The scenarios are so good! We did a video series playing through the Hans scenarios in sequence, oughta get back to doing more of those.
So cute! Love corgis with tails. Just one of our three has his.
Three dudes with three dogs at a game table
Screenshot from our Barkham Horror playthrough, coming next week to the channel. I cannot overstate the chaos of this moment when it's in motion.
