Trump administration moves to drop transgender discrimination cases The EEOC, citing executive orders targeting gender identity, is aiming to dismiss half a dozen cases, marking a reversal in U.S. civil rights enforcement.

The EEOC is dropping investigations of anti-trans discrimination, including "allegations that trans workers at Wendy’s were called 'it' as well as claims that employees at the Lush cosmetics chain were subjected to inappropriate touching and explicit comments about their genitalia."

After seeing the consequences of their years of biased coverage about trans people @nytimes.com is trying to erase their role in bringing us to this perilous moment. That’s why I wrote this Letter to the Editor to keep accountability squarely where it belongs and to call for an unvarnished apology
