“The clear winner of this war is Putin”
Must be a coincidence 🙃

A Minneapolis woman who opposed ICE woke up to a drone outside her second floor bedroom window. A man delivering groceries to a suburban distro house for mutual aid recorded a drone hovering above the house. Whose drones and why? (1) www.mprnews.org/story/2026/0...
Just stumbling around trying to figure out how the world works.
Who could possibly have foreseen that war on Iran would (a) make Iran retaliate by closing the strait of Hormuz, which (b) could disrupt world oil markets, enriching Russia and penalizing most everyone else?
Who, indeed, except EVERYONE WHO HAS EVER THOUGHT FOR ONE MINUTE about the situation.
“I was hungry and you…”
…spent a billion dollars on lobster tail, king crab, and ice cream machines for yourselves, and millions on bombs, all while cutting food assistance for me and millions of others.
“…whatever you do for the least of these, you do unto me.” -Jesus
It was a US strike that killed 165 schoolgirls. Mostly aged 7-12.
While it was likely unintentional, the decision to strike a military target in a densely populated civilian area was not.
Yes, difficult decisions have to be made in war.
I don’t trust this bloodthirsty regime to make good ones.
So far the war on Iran has cost $9.4 billion.
That's $1 billion per day.
$41,666,667 per hour.
$11,574 per second.
Thousands of lives lost.
People don't want this. They want a living wage. They want healthcare. They want to be able to afford a home. They want their basic needs met.
If you need some pictures of chickens tonight, I’m here for you.

NBC’s Richard Engel: “The White House meme campaign is outraging many former US military commanders… they say only someone who has never really seen combat would think it’s a joke and put out material like this.”
This administration is not serious. They’re putting on a reality show to project toughness, they’re not actually interested in governing in the best interest of Americans.
In case you missed anything, here are all of the past week’s columns from Civil Discourse, collected in one place.

Congress failed to pass the SAVE Act last year for good reason: it’s an anti-voter bill. But now lawmakers have revived it despite overwhelming public opposition. Call your senators today and tell them to reject the SAVE Act: bit.ly/4srDVLB
So according to the WSJ a US Senator conspired with another country to manipulate the US into starting a war, am I getting this right
RIP to Jesse Jackson. His funeral is today. I wanted to share this clip from his appearance on Sesame Street in 1971. His important words ring just as true today as they did back then.
Obama: "We are living in a time where it can be hard to hope. Each day we wake up to some new assault on our democratic institutions. Another setback to the idea of the rule of law ... but this man - Rev. Jesse Jackson - inspires us to take a harder path ... bc if we don't step up, nobody else will"
Obama has the crowd at Jesse Jackson's eulogy hanging on his every word
Maybe I’m too demanding but I’d really like a definitive answer on why the United States started a war in Iran and what we are trying to accomplish.
Yesterday, the White House used Call of Duty frames in their Iran war hype video.
They are hyping the prospect of war like an exciting video game.
Yes, I know this administration has no bottom.
No class, no integrity, no honor, no decency.
Yet they never cease to shock me.
Know Your Rights cards is a great idea! Can we also bring back The More You Know PSA’s, but make them civics lessons?
Seems like the media should at least express some curiosity about this.

Breaking: CDC recommends “shared decision making” and talking to your medical provider about whether war is right for you.
Good night, friends. Keep standing up for what’s right. ✊
two social media posts, one after the other. The first is about the death of the Iranian girls, the next is about Trump saying that he is defending American children
The juxtaposition:
DOJ's recent 6th Circuit filing misspelled:
Voters as “Votors”
Emergency as "Emeregency"
United States as "United Staes"
And, it included a non-party in the caption.
These are the people who want access to your sensitive voting records and who my team fights in court every day.
Thanks to @wamu.org for highlighting how the $45 billion Congress approved for ICE to increase detention centers has driven a huge increase in ICE detention across local jails, for-profit detention centers, and now potentially in a new system of government owned warehouses

Despite running as an anti-war candidate, Trump has ordered more military strikes against more countries than any other modern president.
He has attacked seven nations, three of which—Iran, Nigeria and Venezuela—had never been targeted by U.S. military strikes.
It’s a complete betrayal of MAGA.
NPR: “What would happen in Oklahoma if everyone without legal status working a job disappeared tomorrow?”
Gov. Stitt (R): “It would be devastating.”
It’s insane this is legal. People around Trump are profiting off war and death. I’m introducing legislation ASAP to ban this.
Outcry grows over ‘clown car’ cabinet but no sign Trump ready for shakeup
