Install time for renewables is 2 years. Install time for a new nuke is upwards of 10 years. And that's being optimistic. Do the math on how many emissions happen in that 8 year period.
Go back to nuclear is the dumbest thing they could. It would divert investments from renewables and improved grid connectivity. The EU has a target of increased grid connection between countries until 2030.
