JESC joined partners in the European Laudato Si' Alliance (ELSiA) in addressing a letter to EU leaders ahead of #COP30 in Belém, calling for renewed climate leadership, a just transition, and stronger EU commitment to those most affected by the climate crisis. 🌍

Last week, the Network of Institutions & Leaders for Future Generations met with Commissioner Glenn Micallef to discuss the EU Strategy on #IntergenerationalFairness.
JESC co-organised the meeting to share member-state insights — a step toward an EU #FitForFutureGenerations 🌍🇪🇺

🍽️ Today is the 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗙𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗟𝗼𝘀𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗪𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲. 1/3 of food produced is lost or wasted while millions face hunger. Tackling this is key for both 𝐣𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐜𝐥𝐢𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧. Our work at JESC call for 𝗳𝗮𝗶𝗿, 𝘀𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝘀𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗺𝘀.

JESC, as co-leader of the Future Generations Initiative, joins many partner organisations in calling for the appointment of a UN Special Envoy for Future Generations.
