I'll be driving to Medina, Ohio in a couple weeks for a Christmas Performers' Workshop event there. (The second of three workshops run by Santa True.)
Being Mrs Claus is a lot more work than you might realize, so honing my craft is necessary. It's well worth the effort of driving nearly 11 hours.
Looks like it'll be a relatively quiet weekend for me, which is welcome. Healing up is what I need to focus on, really, although I'm lousy at taking my own advice.

A little over a week since my surgery and I seem to be recovering well.
I still have to avoid picking up anything that weighs over 15 pounds for the next three weeks, and have the same sort of prohibition about bending over, since they had to repair a serious hernia they found in there.
I’ve got more surgery this coming Wednesday. Hoping I’ll be on the road to recovery after that.

In the hospital for another few days, getting things up to speed with a PICC line attached to a TPN for the next few weeks, then another bowel resection, THIS time near the entrance to my stomach.
Gonna do everything possible to obliterate this ulcer, once and for all.

In San Antonio today, plainclothes ICE officers (not masked this time) arrested, handcuffed, and zip-tied a family of five (yes, ALL of them, including the little children) coming out of their immigration court hearing — which ICE had just had dismissed.

The wrist continues to heal, though not as quickly as I would like it to heal. My cast is supposed to come off on the 14th, so as it will be Pi Day that day I will, of course have pi(e) to celebrate the removal.
