Vietnam War Song Project

Today was a special day. As I walked through My Lai, just after sunrise, an old man called out and invited me inside his house. It turned out to be Do Ba - the small child that Hugh Thompson, Larry Colburn and Glen Andreotta saved on March 16, 1968.

As well as the well-known "I-Feel-Like-I'm-Fixin'-To-Die Rag", Country Joe McDonald released lots of Vietnam War-related songs, many featured on this 1985 double LP "Vietnam Experience"

Great anti-war song from Jimmy Cliff (1946-2025): "Vietnam" (1970) - it told the sad story of a mother receiving a letter, informing her that her son had died in Vietnam. At the end of the track Cliff pleaded: "somebody please stop that war now"
